Help Reduce Global Warming!

Introduction
Everyone, everyday is making some impact on global warming, mostly negative. This article is to provide the reader with information on how they can help reduce the amount of greenhouse gases being released into the atmosphere. There are many things that let greenhouse gases into the air. A carbon footprint is the amount of carbon dioxide and other carbons that are released a being or a group of people let into the atmosphere. There are many ways, some very simple, that people can reduce their carbon footprint to help reduce global warming.
Before and After
This shows a mountain in 1985 compared to 2002. Notice, the difference is the amount of snow on the mountain. Due to global warming, the mountain has lost much of it's snow.
Solar Panels
There are no negative impacts to global warming when generating energy using solar panels. Although this is more for adults to decide, it is an additional solution.
Glaciers Melting
Images like this one are often used to represent global warming. When it gets warmer the ice melts which causes big sections to fall off.
Save Money and Lower Global Warming With Lights
There are so many little things that you can do to reduce your carbon footprint. These include turning off the lights when you leave a room. Not only does this save money on your home's electric bill, but it's also great for the environment. Also, you could try to use LED light bulbs in your house instead of the incandescent bulbs. A good comparison is showing how many light bulbs are needed for 50,000 hours of use. For 50,000 hours, you only need one LED light, unlike using 42 incandescent bulbs.
Take A Walk When You Can
Another thing you can do to cut down on global warming is to walk, carpool, or ride a bike to close places when you can. You do not have to ride your bike or walk during the freezing cold winter months, but you can carpool with someone, possibly taking turns so instead of emitting pollution from two cars, you are lowering it by 50 percent! In the summer when you want to go to your friends house down the street, take a walk or ride a bike. It's good for your health and the environment!
Save Paper
Did you know that the average American uses more than 700 pounds of paper a year? Saving paper saves trees; trees have to be processed in factories which is a big pollution issue. Even something like using both sides of paper helps. Scrap paper can be neatly set aside, then, after using both sides, go in the recycling bin. Just think how much this will help you save money, so you don't have to keep buying paper, and help the environment!
