CFMP Engagement Series Reminder - Week of September 10
This is a reminder that our Comprehensive Facilities Master Plan (CFMP) in-person engagement series begin next week. We are hosting community conversations and conducting online surveys to learn about your priorities for short and medium term solutions to meet current capacity needs across the district. We will also discuss our community’s long-term vision for the future of our schools and how we can empower our students to grow into “future ready” learners.
During our engagement series, we will overview future ready learning environments, capacity maps, growth trends and equity. We will also listen and learn about our community’s priorities for the future of our schools.
Community Engagement Series I - dates, time and location:
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
9/10 MIC conference room
9/11 LSN commons
9/12 LSW field house
9/13 LSHS performing arts center
Additionally, our “Current Needs” online survey is now live and will run through September 17. You can visit the survey by clicking here, or by copying and pasting the following link in your browser: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LSR7CFMP1
Complete our online surveys and engage with us on social media using #R7FutureReady. You can send questions or feedback to contact.lsr7.org/cfmp and we also have a webpage dedicated to the CFMP process at lsr7.org/cfmp.
We hope you join us for this unique opportunity to help shape the future of our schools.
From the District: KCPT Features LS R-7 in “School of the Future” Series
KCPT is featuring a multi-part series on the future of schools in their “Take Note” programming. The first two parts in the series focus on “what will children need to learn in the school of the future” and they feature students from LS R-7. The next mini-film will include interviews from Summit Technology Academy students and faculty.
You can see Part I and Part II of the series via KCPT’s Flatland program and also follow along on social media at #TakeNoteKC.
