Safety During Student Drop Off and Pick Up

As a school community, it is my assumption that student safety is a top priority for us all. In order to best ensure students are physically safe when arriving to and leaving from school each day, it is required that all parents follow the expectations below:

  • All parents must drop off and pick up in the car rider line at the front of the school.
  • Parents cannot park along General Williamson Drive or other nearby locations and escort or have their student walk alone to that location.
  • Pull forward as far as possible in the car rider line and do not stop directly in front of the school if there is space in front of you.
  • Stay diligent and aware of your surroundings as students load in their car.

The best way to ensure your child's safety is to follow the protocol we have established with our car rider line. Thank you for working with us to keep our Buccaneers safe!

Counselor Staffing Update

JoAnn Bryan, 7th grade counselor here at HBMS, will begin her well-deserved retirement at the end of this semester. She has been a valuable asset to the counseling team not only at Hudson Bend but also Lake Travis ISD as a whole for 8 years. Her vast knowledge and deep, sincere care for all students is evident in all that she does. If Ms. Bryan has helped you or your student during her time at Hudson Bend, I highly encourage you to send her a note prior to her retirement on December 16th. Her email is bryanj@ltisdschools.org. She leaves big shoes to fill! We wish Ms. Bryan the best as she enjoys her retirement with family!
With this news, I am happy to announce that Kendall Sealy has officially accepted our offer for the position of 7th grade school counselor here at HBMS starting January 4th. As many of you know, Ms. Sealy has been a 7th grade Texas History teacher and the 7th grade team leader for many years here at HBMS. This will make her transition to 7th grade counselor seamless as she has already built relationships with this particular group of students. I am confident Ms. Sealy will be an incredible addition to our counseling team and an impactful counselor for our students. Please help me congratulate Ms. Sealy on this exciting new chapter of her educational career!
