Duneland School Student Device Information
The Duneland School Corporation (DSC) has finalized plans for students in grades K-7 regarding new device distribution.
- Students in grades K-7 will be allowed to keep their current DSC device over the 2021 summer. During the first few weeks of the 2021-22 school year, students in grades K-7 will be required to return their current iPad, keyboard case, power block, and power cord. At that time, students will receive their new iPad, keyboard case, power block, and power cord.
It is important that students save anything that they would like to preserve from their current iPads. For more information on saving items from the iPad to iCloud please see the following guide: Moving iPad Files to iCloud Drive - https://bit.ly/3v6kXMY - Chesterton Middle School 8th graders received their devices at school on 6-3-21.
- All returning Chesterton High School students will keep their current devices over the 2021 summer
- Graduating seniors that have been issued a Duneland device will be required to return the device and the associated power block/cable. Failure to return these items will result in the full replacement cost of the equipment charged to your account. Seniors that are ready to return their device can do so in the CHS Media Center.
Please also take a few moments to preserve any materials saved directly to your student device on a permanent storage mechanism. These storage mechanisms could include a personal Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Removable USB drives, or other cloud storage.
For assistance working through this process please visit the CHS media center for technical assistance.
Any student that needs technical support over the summer can create an IT support ticket here: https://duneland.freshservice.com/support/tickets/new (Students/parents must use the student “myduneland.org" email address to open an IT Ticket)
Students/parents may also call 219-983-3759 and speak to a technician

Athlete Physical Information
Chesterton Athletics has partnered with FinalForms, an online forms and data management service. FinalForms allows parents to complete and sign all necessary athletic forms for your student athletes. This includes enrollment, informational, medical, athletic, technology and other traditional forms you have filled out by hand in the past. The most exciting news is that FinalForms saves data from season-to-season and year-to-year, meaning that you will never need to enter the same information twice! FinalForms also pre-populates information wherever possible, for each of your students, saving you time.

$50 Special Offer Lifetime Alumni Association Membership
Thinking about joining the Chesterton High School Alumni Association, but just haven't gotten around to it? Are you wondering why you should join this newly formed organization?
COVID-19 has limited our fundraising efforts this past year, so the Chesterton High School Alumni Association would like to offer an opportunity to former alumni, present and past faculty and staff members of the Duneland Schools to join the Association for only $50 for a Lifetime charter membership. This limited special membership opportunity will be available from March 1, 2021 through February 28, 2022.
The CHS Alumni Association was formed to help support the enhancement of the Duneland School Corporation’s educational processes and scholarships for graduating seniors at Chesterton High School. Your dues in the organization will help the group to continue to grow and present more and more of our graduates college assistance. We will also enshrine teachers, administration, support staff and graduates (alumni) into their respective ''Halls of Fame”. Just recently the Alumni Association inducted three retirees into the Hall of Fame - Becky Dunbar, support staff member; James Cavallo, teacher; and Garry Nallenweg, administrator. Read more...
