Introduction Letter from new High School Principal, Nick Pantaleone
November 22, 2022
Dear Goshen Families:
As a proud alumnus, lifelong resident, and father of two future Gladiators, I am humbled by the opportunity to serve as the next Goshen High School Principal. I had an incredible experience attending the Goshen Central School District. The teachers, staff, and coaches contributed tremendously to my personal and professional growth and helped shape my educational philosophy. I have been dedicated to the field of education for over twenty years, including teaching and holding administrative roles at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.
During these past few weeks, I have interacted with parents, faculty, and students. As a result, I have learned that Goshen High School is a place where strong connections between home and school are valued and that it is also a place where all staff members are committed to helping your child succeed every day. I value these characteristics and am excited to help continue moving Goshen High School along the path of excellence.
As part of my transition plan, I will be holding a Meet and Greet for parents and students, including light refreshments, on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in the Roy Reese Auditorium at the times listed below. If you can not attend and would like to meet, please email me at nicholas.pantaleone@gcsny.org, and I will schedule a time that works for you and your family.
- Grades 9-10 at 5:30 pm
- Grades 11-12 at 6:30 pm
One of the most important aspects of my work as Principal of Goshen High School is building meaningful relationships with students, families, teachers, and within the community. Therefore, it will be essential for me to be in the hallways, classrooms, and lunchrooms and support our students participating in concerts, musicals, competitions, and athletic events, throughout the year.
Beginning in mid-December, I will hold Town Hall Meetings with students in each grade level to share my vision for Goshen High School and review expectations. Students appreciate a person who genuinely invests in them by listening, learning alongside, and being fair and consistent. In addition to building solid relationships with students, families, and teachers, it will be imperative for me to make sure that you and your child feel safe and respected at our school. If you ever have a concern, please do not hesitate to call or email me, and I will be happy to follow up when I begin on Monday, November 28, 2022.
I look forward to a successful school year and a great partnership with each of you.
Sincerely,
Nick Pantaleone, Principal
