A note from the Principal
Hi Hunt Club Families,
I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week and December is right around the corner. This year Hunt Club will be collecting toys and books for Toys For Tots. We are accepting new, unwrapped, books or toys November 29th through December 3rd. Please have your child bring them to school or drop donations off in the vestibule. You may also donate online at this link: DONATE HERE.
IT'S GETTING COLDER OUTSIDE! Please remember to send your child in weather appropriate clothes, which includes coats, hats, and mittens, as we will be continuing to go outside for recess. Label everything, as items often get dropped or lost and we would like to reconnect each item with it's rightful owner. We will continue to go outside as long as possible and want the kids to be comfortable outside.
Important upcoming dates:
November 24th- November 26th: NO SCHOOL-THANKSGIVING BREAK
November 29th-December 3rd: Toy Drive
December 23-January 7th: NO SCHOOL-WINTER BREAK
I hope your family has a wonderful Thanksgiving! I am thankful for all of you!

SUPPORTING GRIEVING CHILDREN AND TEENS
WHEN:
THURSDAY, NOV. 18TH, 6PM
THIS IS AN ONLINE EVENT
During the global pandemic, we have realized more than ever how children are impacted by loss. Join grief counselors Patrice Martin, LCSW, and Nicollette Vasquez, LPC, from Lightways, founded as Joliet Area Community Hospice, on National Children’s Grief Awareness Day to learn about how to best support a grieving child or teen. Our discussion will include common misperceptions about children’s grief, special considerations related to the pandemic, and specific tips on how to support grieving children and teenagers.

As you begin to think about holiday shopping, be sure to take a look at the Amazon Wish Lists we've received on our website at www.huntclubhso.org. You can find them under the "Fundraising" tab. These list are teacher-created and will benefit their classroom directly. We will also have a "Staff Favorites" list available soon for reference. Gifts are not required, but these lists have/will be provided to help guide those who choose to use them.
Have you joined Amazon Smile?
How to add Amazon Smile on your Amazon App:
Download or update to the latest version of the Amazon Shopping app on your phone. You can find it in the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android. Open the app and find 'Settings' in the main menu (☰). Tap on 'AmazonSmile' and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone.
This is required on each device you use to purchase Amazon orders for Hunt Club Home and School Organization to receive funds from that purchase.
