Grade 4 STEM Invention Independent Study
Throughout the first trimester, students in this Type 2 REACH Program learned about the Engineering Design Process. From brainstorming a problem to designing and building a prototype, the fourth graders worked diligently to see their ideas come to life. As a culmination of the study, the students participated in a STEM Invention Expo. Great job!
LinkIt!
Students take LinkIt! literacy and math benchmark assessments three times each year to monitor student progress, inform class instruction, and support course placement in English, Social Studies, and Math. In early January, students will take the Form B LinkIt! benchmark assessments.

Reporting Student Absences
Kindly enter all absences, late arrivals and early releases as follows:
· Using the Genesis Parent Portal (Attendance Tab): Select date(s), time(s), reason for absence. Using the “Notes” section, please indicate additional pertinent information (i.e. Travel, Dr. Appt., Illness, etc.).
· Call the Attendance line: (201-794-5550, Option #2). Please leave your child’s name, teacher, reason for absence and date(s)/time(s).
Both are available 24/7 and will record your child's absence and report it to your child’s teacher as well. As teachers and staff can be absent and our email servers can be disabled and inaccessible at times, we ask that you refrain from using email to report. Using the above-mentioned sources will ensure that the main office and covering teacher(s) (subs./special area) receive the attendance in a timely manner.
