Macbeth Act 5 Scene 1

Roman Polanski and Rupert Goold

"Out Damn'd Spot"

Roman's and Goold"s version comare to the actual text in many ways. In the text version Lady Macbeth kept on referencing the "dam'd spot" as we also see in both of the films. In the scene Lady macbeth is sleep walking and has said what both the Doctor and the Gentlewomen were not suppose to hear. Lady mabeth overall mood and tone in the book as in both the text and both versions was a tone of guilt and fear, having guilt of what she had done and fearing of whta will happen next.
