Hello Manning Parents,


I hope everyone enjoyed their Fall Break and the nice, sunny weekend!


Last week, we had our National Junior Honor Society induction, led by Mrs. Jill Shulsinger-Wall. Congratulations to the students who received this honor.


This week, we are celebrating Spirit Week....see below how your student can join the fun!


Reminder - No Halloween costumes are allowed at school, but they can be worn to the dance! See you there!

This is the week - Fall Fest is finally here! This is our largest fundraiser of the year! We hope you’re planning to participate in the silent auction, even if you cannot attend the event. If you have yet to get your tickets, we still have a handful remaining. Please purchase online asap, as we have limited capacity.

We will be offering tours of Manning for prospective families in November and December. Please refer to the SignUp Genius (linked below) for details and to reserve a spot.

Since tours are during school hours, we are limiting each time slot to 5 families, maximum 4 members per family.

Spirit Week | Spirit Week is this week! Encourage your kids to plan their outfits for the week:

Monday = Fall Colors (Red = A lunch; Yellow = B lunch; Orange = C lunch)

Tuesday = Tutu Tuesday

Wednesday = Twin Day

Thursday = PJ Day

Friday = Adam Sandler Day! (dress like your fave Adam Sandler character!)

*Costumes can be worn at the dance, but not to school.


Fall Fest | The Silent Auction is Live! The Silent Auction is Live! Jump on the site now to peruse the more than 150 items that have been donated from Manning families and the community. Bid as many times as you like through 10PM Friday night - come 10:01PM you will be notified what you are the lucky recipient of! We also have a few spots remaining if you’d like to submit your famous chili into the cook-off. Complete the sign-up through Wednesday, October 26 and help heat-up the competition! Please remember to bring a 6-pack of beer or bottle of wine, well disguised in a brown paper bag, to participate in the beer & wine pull. Guests can then pay $15 to “pull” a surprise bag! Many, many thanks to all the families that contributed to the access baskets, fabulous auction items and our Fall Fest Sponsor, Hive Homes. Remember, all proceeds raised goes directly back to our school, so think big!


Reflections Art Competition | The Reflections program deadline is approaching. This year’s theme is Show Your Voice and we’re excited to see how many Manning students will enter the competition. Categories include dance, short film, a poem or story, an original song, a photo or visual work of art. Visit the website for all competition specifics.

MANNING MINUTE NEWLETTER- Please check out the year's first edition of The Manning Minute. It is written by students in journalism class, and it is filled with awesome information and entertaining articles. Tell your students that they can find The Manning Minute on their grade level Google Classroom or on the Website under Student Resources. Enjoy!



Destination Imagination- Destination Imagination is an educational nonprofit that prepares children for a future that is rapidly evolving. DI does this through a project-based learning experience that applies the creative process across seven different Challenge types—Technical, Scientific, Engineering, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Service Learning, and Early Learning—allowing pre-K through university level students to acquire and practice the skills needed to thrive in school, future careers, and beyond. It is one of the Enrichment Opportunities listed and supported by Jeffco Schools’ Gifted and Talented Program, but DI is open to all students. Lakewood HS Open House- Lakewood High School would like to invite any 8th grade students and their parents who are interested in attending LHS to our Open House on November 16th, from 6:00-7:30pm. The presentation will begin in the auditorium where our principal, Mr. Bock, will share with you all of the wonderful aspects of LHS, and what truly makes our school a unique place for our diverse population.

Check the Lost & Found in the cafeteria. Once a month we donate our Lost & Found items to Jeffco Serving Kids. October's pick up will be Friday, October 28th.
