The Montessori Teacher
Every child has their own time table. Parents of more than one child already know this to be true - every child passes through the distinct phases of development at different rates. As parents and teachers, there are many things that we can do to aid the child through these phases. The first, and perhaps the longest stage of development, is the development of language skills. Parents by talking more to their toddler, help the child learn to process language more quickly, which accelerates vocabulary growth. By talking with them more in an engaging and supportive way, parents can nurture early brain development and build a strong foundation for language learning. This study supports the Montessori individual presentation philosophy of presenting lessons one-on-one rather than in groups. The research shows having “engaging” interaction with young children is essential. In the Montessori approach to education, every lesson is engaging with concrete materials that hold a child’s attention and their interest. I have found that doing Language lessons with young children is very fun for toddlers and adults!
One simple exercise you can do with your little toddlers is with a small basket of objects. We normally begin with familiar objects in the child’s environment and then move to others that are less well known. We introduce the name of the object and allow the child to hold and examine it.

Summer in House Venders
We have a lot of exciting things planned for the children this summer. Please make sure to turn in your permission form for your child to participate in the weekly activities, and to ensure that your account gets invoiced accordingly.
Splash Day
Please make sure to send your child dressed and ready for splash day when you are dropping off. Every child will need a towel and change of clothes labeled with their first name and last initial. Please make sure to apply sunscreen prior to drop off. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE WEARING WATER SHOES, NOT SANDELS OR CROCS PLEASE AS THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR THE CHILDREN.
UNIFORM
We would like to take a moment to thank all the parents that had their children in the correct uniforms. Starting August 5th, 2018 all Pinnacle Montessori Students must be in complete uniform. We know that the new children might be still waiting for their uniform to arrive…but the old students should be all dressed up in uniform, no excuses. All children who are 18 months and older will need to be in Pinnacle Montessori Uniform.
If you are needing to purchase more polos or in need of some new ones, please feel free to stop by the desk during drop off or pick up and pick up a ordering form. We have not made it more convenient for our parents and you can just order the polos directly from the school.
