To our families who will not be returning to David Elementary, we wish you the best and hope you will come back to visit.
A letter regarding our "Meet the Teacher" will be sent via email the beginning of August. Again, have a wonderful summer and we look forward to seeing you at "Meet the Teacher" on Monday, August 7th.
Sincerely,
Lee Allen

LOST AND FOUND
FOURTH GRADE WALK OF HONOR - THURSDAY, MAY 25th - 9:00 AM
NEWS FROM THE CLINIC
The 2022-23 year is quickly coming to a close. A few year-end reminders from the clinic:
Medications checked in to the clinic must be picked up by Thursday, May 25th at 4 PM. Medications cannot be stored safely during the summer months, so any items remaining will be discarded Friday morning. Emergency medications should remain on campus until your child's last day of school. If we need to make special arrangements for pick-up, please let me know!
If your child has borrowed clothing from the clinic, please wash and return it so it can be used by other students. Over 20 percent of our students have visited the clinic for a clothing change this year—all grades are represented. The clinic averages 1-2 visits per day and provides at least one item of clothing for a majority of these visits.
Summer immunization reminder letters will come home soon. Immunizations/ immunization documentation must be up-to-date when school begins on August 9. A scan or photograph of updated records can be sent by email over the summer.
Wishing you all a safe and happy summer. See you in August!

STUDENT BIRTHDAY TREATS
In a continued effort to ensure the health and safety of our students, all birthday treats must be commercially prepared and the ingredients must be listed on the package. Please remember that no peanut/nut products are allowed in the classroom. We also kindly ask that treats brought to the school are individual servings.
Please check in with your child’s teacher a day or two in advance regarding scheduling and restrictions. Suggested commercially prepared treat options (must have the ingredients listed on the package) include individual servings such as cookies or Rice Krispie treats, or you may consider non-food items such as stickers, book marks, pencils, etc... We are requesting that you not bring drinks, goodie bags, candy, balloons, or flowers.
If you choose to bring a treat, we ask that you bring the items to the front office and a staff member will deliver them to the classroom.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact your child’s teacher or the front office at 281-298-4700. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us continue to provide the very best for our David children.
