Mann High School Sophomore receives Warren Scholarship
The Warren Christopher Scholarship Fund provides scholarships every year to 10 to 15 outstanding LAUSD high school sophomores. The $20,000 scholarship award is meant to inspire students to complete high school, college, and post-graduate school, and the program focuses on high school sophomores because this population of students receives less attention.

Short Ave Elementary Students visit Ballona Wetlands
The future looks bright through the lens of our students. #OutdoorLearning #Exploring #BallonaWetlandsEcosystem
Short Ave. Elementary 2nd graders went on a field trip to the Ballona Wetlands yesterday. They got to explore a mosaic of habitats: such as Fresh Water Marsh, Tidal Salt Marsh Oceans, and Sand Dunes! The kids got to smell and taste different plants, use binoculars to explore the environment, and look through microscopes!! According to many of our students, “It was the best field trip ever!”
