Special Education CAC Community Advisory Committee
RUSD special education families,
Congratulations on transitioning your child to in-person learning. We know it was not easy and we still have a lot of anxiety over the pandemic. We would like to start our first meeting discussing RUSD safety protocols for special education students and answering any questions and concerns you may have.

Student Highlight: Andrew Huynh
Andrew is proud to be unique, special, and different. Walk through most RUSD campuses and there’s always someone that says hi to Andrew. Andrew says that he is glad to be back in school in-person. "School keeps me safe. Seeing my friends at school makes me happy. It motivates me to learn". He loves to be in the front of the group because he can help lead others that need guidance. He appreciates all his teachers and is always asking what they may be eating and doing. Let him know what day your birthday is and he will remember and remind his parents for 364 days! He loves to make a list of what so and so would like as their gifts and looks forward to writing more gift ideas. Andrew definitely has a heart of gold! His consideration and love for all his family, friends, teachers, and church teachers is as great as Lake Baikal (to understand the meaning Google “Lake Baikal” to see how much). He is highly anticipating (and planning) for all the holidays coming up and wishes everyone a Happy and Healthy Holiday(s)!
