Subtracting Two Digit Numbers

We started our subtracting two digit numbers with regrouping unit, this is one of the hardest topics we have in second grade. We are going to go through these next lessons and test possible on Thursday of next week depending on student readiness.

Grammar Skill- Adjectives

Adjectives describe a person, place, animal, or thing. An adjective can tell how something looks, sounds, tastes, feels, or smells.

-The young boy is wearing a green vest and holding a round snowball.

Phonics List- Final Syllable -le

If a word ends with consonant and le, those three letters make the last syllable in the word. We will not have a spelling test this week, we will be working with the words in class.

Social Studies- Landforms

We will be studying starting our landforms unit we will be studying the following landforms; hills, plains, mountain, valley, island, penninsula, river, lake, and gulf.

I will be sending home a speed drill sheet to practice with your students nightly, it should only take less than a minute. There will be math homework Tuesday and Thursday. Be sure to practice phonics list nightly and share the joy of reading with your child by reading with them!
