Throughout the month of January, NAMI is hosting free Ending the Silence presentations in partnership with the BCPS Office of School Counseling, where people who have personal experiences raising children with mental health conditions will share their stories and important steps parents and guardians can take to support their child's mental health.
During the presentation, you'll learn:

Exercise Your Write 2022
Baltimore County teens currently in grades 6 through 12 are challenged to submit an original piece for the library’s “Exercise Your Write 2022” short story contest.
The competition is designed for teens to utilize their creativity and voice while writing about social justice, inequity, civil rights and the experiences of marginalized communities.
The world is in a period of enormous social change and teens have the opportunity to express their views—and share their experiences—more than ever. What’s more, their voices are being heard.
Short story submissions are due, Monday, January 31 at 11:59pm.

What is Parent University
Parent University is offered through the BCPS Office of Family and Community Engagement, which we affectionately call FACE! We provide tools and resources to BPCS families to support learning at home. In the past, before social-distancing, one of the ways we offered these resources was through in-person workshops hosted by community members and schools. We also have a large collection of online resources that are available as we navigate through this incredibly unique time in our lives. We hope you enjoy what we have to share.
