What was it?

the Italian wars were a series of conflicts from 1494 to 1559. most of the city-states of Italy, the Papal states, Kingdom of Naples and most of western Europe were involved. it mostly took place in Southern and Western Europe. but in the end Habsburg won

What was the signifacant?

it was significant because France renounced any and all clams of Italy. the most important I think is that the Italian wars represented a revolution in military technology and tactics.
