Scams are basically people trying to get money or personal information from you. Scams is illegal hacking. Scams can make your computer not work right or give you a virus


Digital Citizen

Someone who is able to think critically about the ethical opportunities and challenges of the “digital world” and makes safe, responsible, respectful choices

Cyberbullying

Cyberbullying

Cyberbulling is when you use a social thing such as twitter, facebook, and texting. To hurt someone.


Types of Cyberbullying

  • Harassing- When you bombard someone with messages over digital media
  • Flaming- Saying mean things, usually in ALL CAPS, with the intention to humiliate
  • Hate Speech- A verbal attack targeting someone because of their race, gender, religion, ability, or sexual orientation

Creative Rights

Copyright- Law that protects your control over a creative work you make so that people must get your permission before they copy, share, or perform

Fair Use- Use a small amount of copyrighted work without permission For example: schoolwork, news reporting, and and comedy/parody

License- Clear way to define the copyright of your creative work so people know how it can be used

Piracy- Stealing copyrighted work by downloading or copying it in order to keep, sell, or give it away

Plagiarize- Copying or making slight changes to some or all of someone else’s work and saying you created it

Creative Rights

If you do copy or change a little bit of a person's copyrighted work than you can have very bad consequences

  • like going to jail
  • getting banned from collage
  • expulsion
  • it goes on your personal record
  • So it can be harder to get a job.

The grandma method is before you post, tweet, or anything like that you ask yourself what would my grandma think of that. And if you think that she would like it than you can post it. But if you think that she would not like it that you shouldn't post it.

Digital Footprint

A digital footprint is the path you leave when you do anything on the internet. You digital footprint can even start when you are born, if your mother puts on pictures of you. You can leave a positive footprint if you don't go where you aren't supposed to.
