Hi-lites week of October 9, 2015

Next week is Fall Break! No school Thursday or Friday.

Online Sign-up

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Highland Catholic School will be offering online sign-up for fall conferences. We are looking for 100% participation. Each household will receive a link to the conference schedules. We are going to send the link out on Monday to families with three or more students at Highland Catholic School to facilitate back-to-back conferences. All other households will receive the link on Tuesday. Conferences for K-5 are 20 minutes. The households in Grades 6-8 will be able to sign up for an hour long block with the group of middle school teachers and will rotate through the tables. Conferences will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29th from 3:30-8:00 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 30th, from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Additional conference times for 7th and 8th grade households will be offered on Wednesday, the 28th, and Thursday, the 29th, during the morning hours for Mr. Ken Backe, Mrs. Abby Mallory and Mrs. Janell Paschal. This is a nice option and helps reduce the number of needed evening slots.

Fall conferences are a great time for goal setting and teachers will be sharing students' MAP scores, as part of the conversation. Older students are encouraged to attend conferences with their parents and guardians. It helps them be more engaged students.

Households with no internet capability are welcome to stop into the school office and the staff will help you schedule your conference. Again, we are hoping to meet with all families.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Jane Schmidt

Principal

P.S. Just a reminder: Navy-colored leggings may only be worn under a uniform jumper or skirt. They are not suited for Fridays with Marathon shirts. NO leggings, any color or print, are permitted with just shirts. Thanks for giving the ol' eyeball!
