Lunch money!

Job Fair on March 7th for Teens Seeking Work
Is your student looking for a part-time or summer job? Join us Tuesday, March 7th from 1 – 2 pm in the LHS Library for the opportunity to meet local employers, interview, and get hired! Employers include Chick-fil-A, Liberty Hospital, LPS Kid’s Zone, LPS Paint Crew, Texas Roadhouse, and more.
To attend, students must register by completing this google form by March 3rd.
Students should plan to bring a laptop, pen, at least 5 copies of their resume, and wear professional dress. If your student needs support in creating a resume, they should indicate so on the registration form. This experience is an excellent opportunity to practice networking skills.

If you are interested in attending summer school this summer, please contact Mrs. Streu right away! Summer school is a great way to catch up OR GET AHEAD on credits! Your son or daughter will drive with one of five driving instructors. The course begins with an all-day instruction class on May 30 or 31, then driving during the month of June. Influenza Update
We are beginning to see influenza in the community. Please remember that students meed to be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication before they return to school. If your child has a positive influenza test please call the school and report this to Mrs. Straws (who will pass the information along to our nurse). We collect data for the Clay County Health Department. No personal information is included in this reporting.
Last day of school
Please note that due to the snow days, the scheduled last day of school is Tuesday, May 23rd. Seniors last day is May 9th.
Attendance counts
Regular attendance is vital to student success. Please support your child in getting to school, ON TIME, each day. If your student needs to be absent, please let Mrs. Straws know by calling 816.736.5470.
