Twas the week before break, when all through the school...
All the students were stirring and the teachers were too!
And the SMARTBoards were hung ....
Have you ever thought "Why did they hang my SMARTBoard so low/high?" The Office of Instructional Technology is asking we take a survey on the mounting of SMARTBoards in order to better plan for future installs and construction. Please take this survey by Wed. Dec. 23.
And updated with care...
SMART 15
SMART 15 was pushed to the computers in the schools. All current notebooks that teachers have created should work in SMART 15.
You will find that you will no longer see the SMART icon in the system tray/task bar. Instead, icons will be on the teacher desktop.
Don't like change? If you want the SMART icon to appear on the system tray, select SMART System Menu. This will give teachers access to the SMART recorder, spotlight, screenshade, screen capture tools and hide the floating tools.
**** You will notice a new menu item, the Lab. This has 6 new tools that will allow teachers to create interactive activities.
New SMARTBoard Pen info for SMART 15: If you want to use the pens with a website or a Microsoft product, you will need to select the SMART ink tool icon from the desktop. You will then be able to pick up the pen and use it when displaying a website or Microsoft product.
Review the SMART 15 tutorial for all the new features. To find resources, go to Blackboard > Tech Resources> Tech Resources Site > SMART Hardware/Software > SMART 15. The tutorial and download info for home use will be found in this area.
SIGN UP! See bottom of this flyer for info on ERO sessions to get up to date on SMART 15! (and other sessions too)
