The Civil Rights Movement
By Mitchell Duncan
How the civil rights movement helped make the U.S a more equal place -
The civil rights has contributed to making the U.S a more equal place for everyone because during this point and time blacks were starting to get tired of the way they were being treated even though it was said to be separate but equal. They started to boycott places that discriminated they for their color and buses for making them sit in the back and have to give up their seat if a white person didn't have a place to sit. It started to work because blacks were most of the bus company's business and after that things kinda followed along and with time things became equal for all.
Tactics and strategies used in the civil rights movement -
Martin Luther King Jr. giving his famous "I have a dream" speech.
Mom and child boycotting segregation in public schools.
One of the first black students to be allowed to attend a white school.
