VTHS Back-to-School Night was a Great Success...
...thanks to your enthusiastic response to our invitation. We hope you were pleased to learn what's ahead for your child in 2019-2020!
We would like to thank you for attending and encourage you to keep the lines of communication open throughout the school year. When the home and school partner together students benefit.
Final Share the Keys Presentation
In conjunction with the Vernon Township Police Department and the Vernon Township Board of Education, we are proud to announce our new Safe Driving Initiative for the 2019-2020 school year.
Our final Share the Keys presentation is scheduled for Monday, September 16, 2019. Please see the letter below for further details.
Student safety is of our utmost concern and students driving on campus poses potential hazards to our students, staff, and visitors.
We believe that attending this program with your child will help instill a sense of importance and responsibility that comes with sitting behind the wheel, whether driving to campus or anywhere else.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation!

Some Information to Share:
Open House Night at Picatinny Composite Squadron
The Civil Air Patrol, an auxiliary of the Air Force, provides a cadet program for students between the ages of 12 and 18 who would like to expand their skill sets in areas such as aviation, rocketry, leadership skills, emergency services, discipline and military customs. The Picatinny Composite Squadron is the closest squadron to Vernon Township and they currently have 3 members of their unit who live in Vernon. They meet every Tuesday at the American Legion in Dover, but would like to form their own squadron closer to Vernon if they could increase their numbers. On September 24, 2019, they will be holding an open house to promote their program. Please review their flyer for additional details and see if this program is something that interests your child: Civil Air Patrol Open House Flyer
