As we begin Advent...

We light one candle in the midst of all the darkness in our lives and in the world. It symbolizes our longing, our desire, our hope. We want to experience His coming to us now, in our everyday lives, to help us live our lives with meaning and purpose. And we want to prepare for His coming to meet us at the end of our lives on this earth.

So, we begin with our longing, our desire and our hope.

What a Wonderful Night!

On Saturday, we honored Bob Blaskey, Maddie and Guy Gugino, along with Chris and Jody Samson. It was a lovely celebration! Shout out to Pat Ellis, Maddie Gugino, Lulu Aiello, Laura Alcarez. and the countless volunteers that made this evening special for all to enjoy!

7A sold the most Foundation raffle tickets! For this, they win free dress and a kickball game. Mrs. Manfredi will share details on these upcoming days. Congratulations 7A!

Program Video

During the Foundation dinner, we played a short video on the impact of the MICAH program on our school. While the program services a small group of children with special needs, we find our typical students are more kind, caring, empathic to differences. We are blessed beyond words.

Registrations for 2019-20

We are currently taking registrations and testing appointments for students entering Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten for our SVS families for the 2019-2020 school year. If you are a current SVS Pre-Kindergarten parent, your child will not need to be tested for Kindergarten 2019-2020. Please contact Mary Jane Marlow at 702-732-4477, extension 100 for more information.

Primary Campus Happenings!

In PreK we have Savannah P. from team Raiders as the week’s MVP. They are on L this week and will be reading love letters that their parents wrote at orientation. In K1 we have Hazel R. and in K2, Mika M as our star students. In Kindergarten, we are building reindeer and learning new Christmas songs and learning about what numbers are greater and less than. We have three new faces on primary campus, one in each class. We are so blessed to have them join us. Welcome to Primary Campus!!

Heartfelt Thank you!

As you may know, our maintenance man left us at the beginning of November. We have posted the position to our main school website and the Diocesan website. Until we find a qualified applicant, we have brought in a day porter from Accurate Cleaning Company, which services our school each night.

To those that have assisted in setting up the cones in the morning or donned a broom to sweep away the leaves, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! There are not enough words to express our gratitude.
