October 18, 2016
October 31 - November 4, 2016
Get ready! Digital Citizenship Week is coming soon!
Each year, Hutto ISD hosts a district-wide Digital Citizenship Week to get students interested in important digital citizenship topics. Each day has a different theme to focus on different qualities of a good digital citizen.
Digital Citizenship Lessons
The CITs have pulled age-appropriate lessons for each topic from Common Sense Media that you can use to help teach your students about these important topics. Paper copies of the lessons have been submitted to the copy center and should arrive to your campus soon! Click here for digital copies of each lesson.
EdTech Hippo Holla!
Dorothy Parker, a 5th grade teacher at Cottonwood Creek Elementary, had her students use Padlet and Google Classroom to respond to literature. She used Padlet to allow her students to see what their peers were saying. Her students also posted responses privately and publicly (for the whole class to see) in her Google Classroom. The public posts allowed students to reply to each others' responses!! Way to Go Mrs. Parker!!!!
