Greetings Bishop Woods Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful week! Please note that this week there will be an early dismissal on Friday, February 12th. Our bus dismissal will begin at 12:50pm. K & 1 Families... Please make sure someone is there to receive your child off the bus. The staggered pick-up schedule is below:

12:40 - Walkers and grades 4 & 5

12:45 - Grades 2 & 3

12:50 - Grades K & 1

Friday will also be our PBIS Spirit Day! All student should wear red or pink to show their school spirit!

Next week we will have February break. There will be no classes on Monday, February 15th or Tuesday, February 16th. On Wednesday, February 17th, students will return for a full remote day. We will resume our hybrid schedule on Thursday, February 18th.

Thank you to the many families who engaged in report card conferences last Wednesday. If you were unable to connect with your child's teacher, please reach out to schedule an appointment. Marking period 2 report cards are available on PowerSchool, and will be mailed home this week.

Once again, it is very important that you complete our Student Absence Form if your child is an in-person learner who is absent from school or selecting to join remotely for a day. Here is the direct link, but this form is also available on our webpage:

Lastly, we are running two fundraisers that we need your support with! All fundraising money is used for our students and school's needs. More information is below.

To support Bishop Woods, we are selling Easter pies and goodies! This fundraiser runs from February 5th-February 19th. All items are $18. Order forms and payments must be submitted by February 19th. Frozen pies and cookie dough will be delivered on Wednesday, March 24th in the morning and early afternoon. Please mark this date on your calendar, as the order will need to be picked up at this time as we don't have freezer space to store them.

Drop off the order form and payments to Mrs. Giammattei at school any day between now and February 19th (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday's between 8:30 and 3PM). Community Learning Hubs are safe spaces for children to go during the school day for supervised distance learning with high-speed internet access, social support, and enrichment, in a small cohort of no more than ten children. Children eligible to attend a Hub must be New Haven residents in 1st through 9th grades, registered for the New Haven Public Schools, and demonstrate high need. Space is extremely limited and families with the greatest need will receive priority, so if you are interested, apply ASAP. There is no cost to families.
