Register to Vote

Requirements:
Voting is a right of American citizenship. Requirements to be eligible to vote:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must be a citizen of the United States of America
- Also, you must be registered to vote in a state.
Registering to vote:
Almost every state has a voter registration deadline. Most states fall for a deadline of 20-30 days prior to date of election. North Carolina requires registration 25 days before the election. But some states do not have a voter registration deadline. You can register to vote in a few ways:
- In person
- By mail
- By fax
- By email
Absent from voting
Absentee Ballots are ballots for citizens who can't get to the polls on election day. The voter may return the ballot in person or by mail. Some states will let voters apply for an absentee ballot in person before the election and then vote the ballot that same day. These reason why could include:
- Military
- Planned Vacation
- Out of State, etc.
