School Counseling Department News
Wishing everyone a fantastic start to a new marking period!!
November finds both Mrs. Catlin & Ms. Malcolm very busy with senior meetings.
Just a few reminders for college bound seniors:
- Please make sure that all students are sending their SAT & ACT scores directly from the testing websites. Processing takes approximately 2-3 weeks.
- Be sure to provide teachers & counselors 3 weeks notice prior to your deadline to write letters of recommendation.
- Lastly, it is the students responsibility to turn in their transcript request to their counselor at least a week ahead of their deadline so that the counselors can ensure that all pieces are ready to go.
- If your senior already applied to colleges, please note that we will automatically send MP 1 grades once after all report cards are mailed home. You do not need to request that.
College visits are available to any interested Junior or Senior students- please check the schedule below for upcoming colleges. Every year, the CT Association of School Librarians and the Computer Educators of CT Association hold a statewide conference on library and technology education. Katie Tietjen, the high school LMC, gave a presentation entitled "Partner with your Public Library." She was thrilled to share the many ways the East Hampton Public Library and the high school collaborate to encourage teens to read and be active library patrons.
