Sargent Aviation Club Washington DC Trip

The Sargent Aviation Club went to Washington DC during spring break. They visited the Washington Monument, Dwight Eisenhower Memorial, The National Air and Space Museum, The U.S. Capitol Building, the Library of Congress, the National Mall, The Arlington Cemetery, and The Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.

Employment

The Board approved the Employment List which included: Interim Superintendent Contract for Jeffrey Fuller, Teacher Contracts for the 2023-2024 school year, Memos of Reasonable Assurances for classified employees, Critical Shortage Teacher Contracts, New Hire Nathan Zimmerman, Secondary Science Teacher, and Extra Duty Pay Agreements for Scott Consaul, High School Girls Head Basketball Coach, and Jon Medina, Head Varsity Football Coach. The Board accepted the resignations of Deanna Bartee, Secondary Business Teacher, Sarah Schaller, Junior High Volleyball Coach, Kia Padilla, Elementary Technology Para, Page Sewell, Secondary Spanish Teacher, and Katelyn Buetow, Secondary Science Teacher.

Discussion Items

The Board discussed several topics which include; Policy review of GCBA-E Exhibit Instructional Staff Salary Schedule, GDBA-E-7 Exhibit- Principal Salary Schedule, budget discussion, Preschool Board, Test Scores from 4 day week vs. 5 day week, and Superintendent position.

Next Meeting

The Board will hold a Work Session on Wednesday April 26 at 2:30 p.m. Topics of discussion will be restructure staffing and salary schedules.
