You can anticipate further details and information as the assessment window nears as we always try to include families in this experience to ensure the children feel empowered and are motivated to participate.
Talent Show Inquiry
We are looking for feedback to guage the level of interest in the talent show this year. This is not a sign up yet, just getting an idea of the number of students interested and their act of choice. If your student is interested, please fill out the form being sent home today and return it to Mrs. Mankins by Wednesday, February 3.

Valentines Day
Will be celebrated Friday 2/12 at school.
Classroom teachers will communicate classroom/grade level specifics to families.
All Valentines and boxes should arrive to school no later than Wednesday 2/10 to allow for proper mitigation to be shared on Friday.
Items arriving to school after Wednesday 2/10 will be distributed the following Monday 2/15.
No food should be brought to school by the children.
Thanks to PTO fundraising, our PKL PTO will sponsor classroom parties/activities.

2020-21 School Calendar Changes - Corrected Dates
At their November 17 regular meeting, the OASD School Board approved a request from the OASD Teaching and Learning and Human Resources teams, to provide two additional professional days for OASD staff this school year. These days will be used for staff to plan and collaborate and will be non-school days for students.

How do I know if my child should stay home from school?
If within the last 24 hours your child has experienced ONE of the following symptoms above baseline
- Cough (persistent)
- Shortness of breath
- Difficulty breathing
- New loss of smell or taste
If within the last 24 hours your child has experienced TWO of the following symptoms
- Fever above 100.4, chills, rigors
- Muscle/body aches
- Headache
- Sore throat
- Fatigue
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
If you have the symptoms below alone
- Fever
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
*Remain home for at least 24 hours without the use of medications to alleviate symptoms
