Tik Tok Offering Therapy?
Kellogg Families,
Our team this last week kept hearing about a new trend on TikTok.
Videos about mental health, but what is different is that they are posted by influencers...not professionals.
As you know, there has been an increase mental health need in recent years. We have a full team of specialists that we are thankful for here at Kellogg.
Recently, we noticed kids talking about or referring to these videos. We have heard phrases or sayings that seem to come from these videos.
We also notice that circle of friends keep this information within themselves instead of seeking out the help of an adult. Although we appreciate friendships, we remind students that in some instances, adults need to step in to help if needed as we are responsible for their safety and well-being at school.
Please always encourage your children to speak to an adult they trust if they have concerns.
A great reminder to be aware of what your child is viewing online, especially at such an developmental age.
Future Cougars! | Thank you to student leaders and staff who organized this for upcoming 6th graders. They visited for an hour with a quick tour. | Yay Band! |

PTSA
Dine-Out this Wednesday 3/8!
Join us at ¿Por Qué No? on SE Hawthorne to enjoy an amazing meal while supporting Kellogg PTSA! See you there!
Volunteer Opportunity:
It is Kellogg PTSA's turn to volunteer at the PPS Clothing Closet located in Benson/Marshall High School on March 23rd and there are a few slots left to fill. We need volunteers to help families pick clothes for their students and to sort donations. You will be trained on how to do the tasks once you get there so no experience is needed - this is a great opportunity to support our PPS families! Please check out volunteer openings on the SIgn-Up Genius LINK.
