Celebrating 20 Years of Excellence

12.04.15

Dear Parents and Students,

The CHHS Counseling Department has been working with students and families to align our focus and practice of the counseling office. Based on feedback, counselors will focus their practice on what we are calling the 3 Cs:

Character: Who You Are

Coping: How You Are

College: Where You are Going

When students visit the counseling office, each of these themes will be addressed. Additionally, three interactive boards have been designed outside of the counseling office to reach students who pass the office in the hallway. These interactive boards provide opportunities for insight, participation, and planning.

It is our hope that every student at CHHS will be able to interact with the counseling office in a way that gives them insight to the character, hope for the here and now, and direction on their future.

Thank you,

Conrad Streeter

CHHS Principal

What advice would you offer younger students as they prepare for semester exams?

My advice would be for each student to fill out all the study guides early, and keep them with them at all times. Those study guides can be reviewed during any extra class work time, during lunch, during breaks at work, and of course at home after school. All teachers are there to help each student, so please take advantage of them when you have any questions. Don't stress yourself out too much, because the majority of the time, you've learned more in class than you give yourself credit for.
