Making Lyons Mill Elementary School Official

Here is an excerpt from the article posted on the Baltimore County Public Schools' website about our history making event on October 22, 2015:

Under a picture-perfect morning sky, the Lyons Mill Elementary School community celebrated the beginning of a tradition of academic excellence. Witnessed by a spirited sea of students, staff, and supporters – almost all wearing blue and green (the school colors, of course), the ribbon was cut to celebrate the official opening of the $31 million school.

While the school opened to students in August, the Oct. 22 ribbon-cutting ceremony marked a special moment in the school’s young life. And Principal Maralee Clark and her staff made sure they celebrated with an event that both showed school pride and demonstrated the excitement of the day.
