Principal Crowley's Corner

Week of 9/26/22

Highlights for the Week Ahead

~ We will have our first school fire drill on Tuesday morning. We will stress to the children that drills are important for us to practice periodically so that everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency. Myself and the teachers will be reviewing protocol for a fire drill prior to practicing on Tuesday.

~ Confirmation Parent Meeting #1 at 7pm on Tuesday.

~ Student Council Elections will take place on Wednesday.

Scroll all the way through for information for the week ahead and lots of great pictures of our students in action!

Morning Drop Off- walking children up

We have noticed an abundance of parents walking their children through the parking lot at the front of the carline to drop off their children in the morning. This is unsafe as cars are trying to exit after dropping off their children. If you will be walking to school, please enter school grounds via Midland Avenue and walk up the sidewalk. Thank you!

Parents, want to get to know your new principal? I will be in the parish center on Tuesday October 4th from 8:30am-9:15am and would love to see you! Come have a cup of coffee and let's get to know one another better.

Introducing "Blue and White Passes"

~ Gym Uniform

~ SKS Spirit Wear- this includes CYO sports shirts

~ Any clothing that is BLUE or WHITE

These passes may not be redeemed on a mass day. Please contact Mrs. Orsatti jorsatti@sksschool.org to purchase.

Please note students will continue to have a regular dress down day as a school once a month and may dress down on their birthday if permitted by their teacher.

Autumn Months

O God of Creation, you have blessed us with the changing of the seasons.

As we welcome the autumn months,
may the earlier setting of the sun
remind us to take time to rest.

May the brilliant colors of the leaves
remind us of the wonder of your creation.

May the steam of our breath in the cool air
remind us that it is you who give us the breath of life.

May the harvest from the fields remind us of the abundance we have been given and bounty we are to share with others.
May the dying of summer's spirit remind us of your great promise that death is temporary and life is eternal.
We praise you for your goodness forever and ever.

Thank you for your support!

We are grateful for all the ways you support us here at school. Each week the students are becoming more familiar with the routines at school and we are thankful for your support at home. Looking forward to another fun week at SKS!
God Bless You!
