Weekly Newsletter 9/11/2020
Dear JISD Parents
Facebook Live Q&A with Dr. Ball & Senior Staff
We want to keep our Judson ISD community as informed as possible. We will be hosting weekly Facebook Live Q&A events and hope that you can join. If not, don't worry, we will record and post them on Judson ISD TV. Next week on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, our Facebook Live Q&A event will focus on our Spanish speaking community. Please note our Spanish episodes will be a repeat of the questions from the previous week; we will not be taking in any new questions. All questions and answers from September 8th will be addressed in Spanish.
If you missed Tuesday's event, you can view it below now!

Safe Haven
Safe Haven option is available for students who meet specific criteria:
- A student has no internet connectivity at home.
- A student receives special education services through a specialized program such as Life Skills.
- A student is a child of a single parent or two working parents and childcare is unavailable.
- A student is a child of a first responder (law enforcement, fire department, EMS, medical hospital personnel, active duty military).
Students will be monitored by Judson ISD staff and will be given a space on their home campus to participate in their virtual instruction. All students must follow the Safe Haven guidelines including wearing a mask at all times and having their temperature checked prior to entering the building. For full details of the Safe Haven guidelines, click the following links; English and Spanish. Campuses will contact parents who have expressed interest in Safe Haven through the Parent Commitment Form survey with more information.

Meal Routes and Schedules
Judson ISD buses are delivering breakfast and lunch for students. Keep in mind that both the deliveries and curbside services are on Mondays and Thursdays only. On each of those days, multiple meals are distributed so each student has enough food for all five days of the school week. Please make sure to have your child's student ID or student ID number to pick up the meals.
If you live 2 miles or more away from your campus, there may be a JISD bus route near you to assist with the following:
- Breakfast and Lunch Delivery
- Safe Haven Instruction Option
- Face-to-Face Instruction Option
Use the JISD Transportation Route Finder (infoFinder) website to check your street address and campus. The website will also include the time and location of meal deliveries.
Please check the schedule for both services below.
