New study time available at Wagner
Beginning this week the Media Center will be open and available for students to quietly study or read each morning from 7:45 - 8:10. The expectations for students using the Media Center before school can be found here.
Digital Display and cork strips
Wagner Elementary was awarded a grant last year through the Litchfield Public School Foundation to help us celebrate our students. As a result, Wagner now features cork strips outside of every classroom and a Smart TV at the intersection of the main hallways. The cork strips allow teachers to better showcase student work for display. In the past, it was common to see some artwork or projects on the floor each morning as tape and other adhesives do not stick to the walls very well. Now, student work hangs high and steadfast each day!
Meanwhile, the SmartTV allows for student pictures, videos, and announcements to be highlighted in an eye-catching and engaging way. There have been a few bugs in getting the digital display up and going, but it is working better now. To give you an idea of the display, follow this link.
Dragon Pride Breakfast
Last Thursday, Wagner hosted a Dragon Pride Breakfast for students and parents. Over 240 people attended! Thank you to all who came. Look for another breakfast to happen in the Spring.
Reminder: Infinite Campus - checking grades
It's hard to believe but last week was Midquarter already. Midquarter grade reports are no longer sent home as hard copies. Instead, parents are encouraged to check their children's grades online.
