Library Card Sign-up Month

The Carmel High School Media Center and the Carmel Clay Public Library provide many great resources for you and your students. Combined, these services are an amazing resource right at your fingertips!

Reciprocal Card/Teacher Card

A Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) Reciprocal Library Card allows users to borrow physical items such as printed books, CDs, DVDs, etc.

However, a Carmel Clay Public Library Teacher Library Card for staff who live outside the Carmel Clay Public Library (CCPL) service district allows FULL access to the above as well as all of CCPL's resources including digital resources. Some of the most popular resources include:

  • OverDrive: eBooks and downloadable audiobooks
  • Zinio: digital magazines
  • Tutor.com: online one-on-one tutoring for all ages (including adults) and essay/cover letter/resume review
  • Databases: including Pronunciator, a learning system for over 60 languages, including English
  • And coming soon! Hoopla. Hoopla will add streaming movies, TV episodes, and music to our 24/7 branch, as well as graphic novels, comic books, and additional eBooks.

How to obtain your CCPL Teacher Card...

If you do not have a Carmel Clay Public Library Teacher Card and would like to receive one for the first time, please see Terri Ramos in the CHS Media Center. Terri will process your information and get your first CCPL Teacher Card set up for you. It's that easy!

If you have a CCPL Teacher Card from last year, it is time to have this card renewed. In order to do so, you must go to to the Carmel Clay Public Library Circulation Desk and provide your Carmel Clay School ID and current driver's license. The renewal process is quick and easy!

If you live in Carmel and have a regular Carmel Clay Public Library Card, you do not need to do anything. Your regular Carmel Clay Public Library Card entitles you to all the services provided by the Carmel Clay Public Library.
