Thank you to all that donated to our Winter Clothing Drive! We received almost 60 coats, 5 vests, 10 hoodies, 34 hats (some of which were beautifully handmade), 7 scarves, 16 pairs of gloves, 4 pairs of boots, one pair of shoes, 15+ other clothing items, and almost 40 new pairs of socks! We appreciate you!
Conferences
North Tapps Virtual Conference Information
Parents, make sure to check your emails regarding conferences
We are excited to hold conferences virtually again this year. Conferences will be held on November 17th, 18th and December 1st via zoom. Each virtual conference will last fifteen minutes and will include all six of your child's teachers. Although everyone is welcome to schedule a conference, it is highly recommended for students who are having difficulties.

Test to Stay
Unvaccinated students who are identified as close contacts of a COVID positive individual
at school or
school-related events, are now eligible to participate in the Test to Stay program. Parents must consent to the test on or about the 3rd, 5th, and 10th days after exposure. During the ten day windows students can come to school but should treat the rest of the day outside of school as a normal quarantine.

COVID Testing for Students with Symptoms
If your child is out sick or sent home due to COVID like symptoms they will need a negative
PCR COVID Test to return to school.
It must be a PCR test. The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department will not let us accept a negative antigen test (sometimes called a rapid antigen test) for students with symptoms to return to school, nor will they let us accept a home COVID test.
*Exception: If your student has tested positive for COVID in the last 90 days, please call the school for testing directions.

Season 2 Sports Begin November 15th
Our Season 2 Sports run November 15 - January 1st
- Boys Basketball
- Girls Soccer
- Gymnastics - Ran through Mt Baker Middle School. Season begins November 15th. Practice is everyday after school and Tapps girls will need to provide their own transportation. The head coach is Penni Robertson.
On Monday, practices will begin right after school.
Girls Soccer - bring shin guards, long socks (over the shin guards), cleats, and athletic wear.
Boys Basketball - bring athletic wear and appropriate shoes.
For Basketball & Soccer, you can sign up your student through NTMS Online Sports Registration
- Sign in to the Dieringer School District online payments site
- Click your student's name
- Under "Shop", slick on Register for Athletics and Activities
Your online registration status will remain "pending" until Mr. Borden or Mrs. Sherman approves it.
To participate in Sports, all athletes need to have a current physical on file (good for 2 years from date issued), have an ASB card, & have had paid a sports fee.
For Gymnastics, there are registration forms in the office.
Congratulations to both our Varsity & JV Football teams for winning their Championship Games this past week!.
The Washington State Department of Health does not recommend the use of masks with loosely woven fabric, exhalation valves or vents, or single layer bandanas or gaiters. Please be sure your student is not wearing these. Cloth face coverings should be constructed of two or more tightly woven layers. We have cloth and disposable masks available on request!
Make sure your child's mask has two or more tightly woven layers, fits snugly against the face, and covers both the nose and the mouth.
