Exciting Opportunity for current SOPHOMORES:
The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees offers an exciting and dynamic two-year leadership development program for high school students, called Leadership 101/102. Sophomore students interested in leadership development during their junior and senior years are invited to apply to participate in the district’s 2019-2020 Leadership 101 program. Three students per high school are selected through a competitive application process. During their junior year, the program explores leadership skills through topics such as youth advocacy, service and volunteerism, local government in action, business, and health care through monthly seminars and site visits. During their senior year, the entire cohort moves together and participates in Leadership 102, by working with non-profit agencies in the community. It is Fort Bend ISD’s goal to develop leadership at all levels and to positively impact the climate and culture of our schools and community through the leadership of our students and staff.
The Leadership 101 application is live and can be found at https://secure.fortbendisd.com/StudentLeadership
Applications are due no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2019.
Need a Verification Of Enrollment?
Students needing a Verification of Enrollment or VOE for driving permits or licenses will need to submit their request on the VOE clipboard located at the Registrar’s Office. Students may sign-up for their VOE before school, in between classes, during lunch, or after school. Once they sign-up for their VOE, it will be ready the following day after 7th period for pick up in the black box at the Registrar’s Office.
Please plan accordingly to ensure your VOE will be ready in time for any appointments you may have.
Final Chance to Submit YES Hours!
The last day to turn in YES forms for this school year will be Tuesday, May 14, at the YES table during all lunches. Students may check hour totals on the Travis website under the YES program. If you believe you are missing hours (before April) come to room D-109 after school to pick up denied paperwork.
