A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE
The University of Washington, Bothell will be the first college to host the Earth Portal show, fresh from the Pacific Science Center. A journey into the depths of the universe, Earth Portal is held in an inflatable domed screen called the Whidbey GeoDome. Using the latest advanced data from NASA, the show takes the audience (up to 2 at a time) from earth and it's life to the Milk Way galaxy and beyond. Seated and looking out at a 360-degree domed screen, the sensation of traveling through space invites the feeling of interconnectedness and interdependence in all existence.
Earth Portal demonstrates ways in which whole systems thinking, design science, and collaborative processes can be used to address the many complex challenges facing humanity. Because of limited capacity, only a total of 300 students will be able to attend this. Make sure to be one of them!
