Distances in space

How astronomers measure distance in space
Parallax Shift
Parallax Shift is used for finding the previos angle that the star planet and other things where at in Space
Why is it done this way
t is the easiest way to find the distances of stars galaxies and planets in space.
Alternative measuring units
for distances between galaxies, and cosmology it is Megaparsecs. For distances within our galaxy or other galaxies it is kiloparsecs .
Example distances to important space objects
Earth to Mars 141.6M mi, Earth to Venus 67.24M mi,
Earth to Mercury 35.98M mi
