Cardinal Parents, Students, and Staff:
"Find the Good and Praise It"
It seems that in today's world, especially through social media, people have become really quick to share their criticisms and complaints with anyone who might be willing to hear them. Does it do any good? Does it produce any positive or worthwhile outcomes? Does it make anyone's day or life better? What would happen if we all just made a shift and committed ourselves to the idea of finding the good and praising it. There is so much in the world to be praised. No matter how difficult our situation, we all have so much to be grateful for. Give it try. Challenge yourself to spend just one week without complaining and instead recognizing the things you're grateful for. If you can't last a week, then start with one day. See what happens. See how it makes you feel and how it makes others around you feel.
Let's do this! Cardinal Strong!
- Oct 24: What is your favorite possession?
- Oct 25: If you were a super-hero, what power would you have?
- Oct 26: What form of transportation do you prefer (plane, boat, train, bus, or car)?
- Oct 27: What's your favorite animal? Why?
- Oct 28: If you could go back in time to change one thing, what would it be?
Hey, Cards!
LEAP is back in school! LEAP stands for Latino/Latina Educational Achievement Program. LEAP focuses on four core elements — college readiness, leadership, community service, and civic engagement — by doing fun activities and tying in cultural aspects. For more information or to sign up, contact our LEAP coordinator, Elsy Olivares Rodea. She will be here on Mondays and Wednesdays in the CCC from 8am to the end of the school day. To contact her send her an email at elsyolivaresrodea@seamarchc.org or you can get in touch with her through Mr. Call.
Key Clubbers! You must register or pay your $15 dues by this Wednesday, October 26th. Remember: You may not have to pay, so please check in with the cashier if you plan to be a member of Key Club. You will not be able to attend meetings if you are not registered with the cashier.
The Chamoru Cultural Club will meet on Wednesday, October 26th, to continue sharing the ways people of Indonesia, Malaysia, Polynesia, Melanesia and Micronesia — including Guam — and the Marianas are part of the Austronesian language family. We'll be sharing what we discovered about our names and how we're connected. We'd be delighted to have you join us. Bring your good vibes, family names, and the spirit of caring. For more information, see Mrs. Goodrum in the library.
Attention seniors — an important reminder for you from yearbook — if you want your school photo from picture day replaced with a special senior portrait in the yearbook, you will need to submit that portrait. Our submission deadline is December 16th, so get those photos taken before then. For instructions about submitting your portraits, a handout is available from Ms. Rice in room 804 or in the main office.
GENERAL INFO:
All athletes and students joining clubs need to purchase an ASB card from the bookkeeper as soon as possible. ASB cards help us raise funds for our many school ASB programs and clubs.

Daily Bell Schedules
NEW Performing Arts Center!
We are very excited about our new Performance Arts Center! We are in eager anticipation of the day that we can fully showcase the talents of our band, orchestra, choir, drama programs, and so much more!
- Part of the "cost" for a new Performing Arts Center is going to be a little dust, a lot of change, and even a few inconveniences. Please, bear with us as we work through the "under construction" phase with an estimated completion date of the start of the 2023-24 school year.
- Student and Staff Parking: All staff and students must park together in the parking lot alongside 112th St. The section nearest the tennis courts is reserved for staff parking. The section nearest the stadium is reserved for student parking. Students and staff must drive all the way around the school to access the new student/staff parking lot. Please, do not cut through the drop-off and pick-up zone to park.
- AM student drop-off and PM student pick-up and zones. Please, do not park in the drop-off and pick-up zones between 7:30am and 3pm. The drop-off and pick-up zones will be the same for 2022-23 as they were for the end of 2021-22.
- Main Entrance: The former main entrance to the building is no longer accessible. The new main entrance is on the south end of the main building near the student pick-up and drop-off zone.
- Handicapped Parking has been relocated to the stalls in the drop-off zone nearest the new main entrance.
- Bicycle Parking has been relocated to the 1400 building (outside the band classroom).
- Pedestrians in the drop-off and pick-up zone should use the pedestrian walkway along the fence line.
- As with all construction projects, almost everything is subject to change. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
