Memorial Day Holiday
There will be no school on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day, remembering those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for America.
State Testing
State testing continues this week. Thank you for being on time, eating a good breakfast, and for getting a good night's sleep before tests. Be ready to show what you know!
- Wednesday, May 31 - Reading EOG
- Friday, June 2 - Math EOG & Math I EOC
On testing days, students may not be checked out until the testing session has been completed at 11:30am.
Strong Finish
With just two weeks remaining this school year, it's essential that students finish strong. Please check your student's PowerSchool and ensure that missing work is submitted. Email your student's teachers if you have questions.

School Based Health Clinic
AB Tech GED Classes
We have partnered with AB Tech to bring Math and English prep classes for adults interested in obtaining their GED. Classes are FREE and are held at Erwin Middle School on Mondays and Thursdays. Please make sure to register for upcoming cohorts by calling 828-398-7891.

- 8th grade End of Year Awards Ceremony: June 8th at 1:00pm
- 7th grade End of Year Awards Ceremony: June 8th at 2:00pm
- 8th grade Promotion Ceremony: June 9th (8:30am for Duke team; 10:00am for Wake Forest and NC State & 49ers teams)
