Agendas are in!

All Bobcats received a school issued agenda last week! Students are expected to filled out the agenda for each class. Teachers have the agenda information posted for students during class and/or on the homework website. If your student loses their agenda, a new one can be purchased in the school store for $3.00.

Homework Pages are Up and Running!

Did you know that most core class teachers fill out the homework page at the beginning of each week? Students and parents can access the homework information through Buffett's website. Click here and find the "Homework" tab across the top to view the homework pages for your child's team.

District Curfew on iPads

The Executive Leadership Team for Omaha Public Schools has implemented a curfew profile that blocks all apps on district issued iPads from use from 10:00 PM to 5:30 AM. Between those times, it will appear as if all apps have been removed from the iPad, but they will reappear at 5:30 with no action needed from you or your student.

Please encourage your student to complete homework before that 10:00 PM cut-off time as this curfew does not impact due dates for homework.

Code of Conduct: Lunch Policy

We have been seeing family sized bags of chips, energy drinks, and candy at school. Many of these items are being shared amongst the student body. This is a health concern and is not allowed at school.

Code of Conduct states: Due to federal regulations, no commercial or fast food or pop is allowed in the cafeteria during breakfast/lunch period(s). All food/drinks need to be consume in the cafe only. All vending machines will be turned off during the school day, which includes the lunch period.

Photo Finish!

Buffett Bobcats participate in Advisory every day while at school. Advisory is a time set aside in the day for our students to engage with a single teacher in the school. During Advisory the teacher and students will be: building relationships through team building activities, setting and tracking academic goals, and developing social emotional skills.

Buffett Bobcats participated in a team building activity the week of August 23rd. The activity was called, Photo Finish. The goals of the activity were to build relationships with their class community and learn to interact with all their classmates; sharpen their communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal; and critically think and solve problems in a team building structure.

The students had a lot of fun, and we have some awesome pictures to share!
