News and Reminders

Study Hall, Period 1-9: Study halls provide a supervised setting for students to complete work, read and study. Study hall teachers need to take accurate attendance and be sure students are engaged in a school-related pursuit. While we had hoped to have students assigned to their own teachers, this is not always the case.

10th Period: This period should only be for the students you teach, and while it may seem similar to study hall, it gives you many more opportunities to have students make-up work, finish classwork, review for a test, or match them with the teacher they need to see. I had very positive feedback during the PTSA meeting with the Principal last Wednesday, thanks to all of you, so keep up the good work!

NYSMSA Conference: You may still sign up for this October 23rd event at HF-L MS in MLP; I have budgeted room for four more participants from TCMS. See me with questions or go to nysmsa.org to see the program.

Chinese School: I have told you before how proud I am to have our school host this program on Saturdays year-after-year, but I know sometimes you are left with surprises on Mondays. Please let me know if anything is out of order. The head of the school is a Brighton mom and is always very responsive to our requests and directions.

8th Grade Team Building: Thanks to Shelly Camp and all the teachers who helped with an exciting day of team building for our 8th graders! See some pictures below.

Other News:

Update Trivia

Katie Falter won last week. Self-Control, is missing from our TCMS planners. I hope that isn't an omen... I credit Joe Priola for pointing out the error.

This week's question: What historic image is on the shoulder patch of Brighton Police officers?
