Parent Survey.....we would love your feedback! You may still fill this out if you have not done so already! The survey is still open for responses!

Hello Patriot Families!

As part of the continuous improvement process, Onslow County Schools (and Stateside Elementary) would like your feedback!! Please take a moment to complete this parent survey. We value your opinion and thank you in advance for your participation!

Parent Survey:

Yearbooks still available!!!!

Yearbooks are still available. They are $20 and are available from Mrs. Merritt in the front office!

Do you have medications at school for your children?

All medications need to be picked up by 3:45 p.m. on Friday June 9th. All medications not picked up will be disposed of because Onslow County Schools are not able to hold any medications over the summer. They can come into the office anytime between 8:15 and 3:45 Monday through Friday of this week and see the nurse to pick up their medications. Children are not allowed to transport any medications. Please call the nurse with any questions or concerns.

Class parties and extra visitors on campus

There are multiple class parties, gatherings, celebrations going on this week! The dates and times that I am aware of are listed below on the calendar portion and also on the website. Parents will need to check in at the office prior to going to the classrooms as always. We appreciate your assistance with maintaining our daily procedures in this week of extra adults on campus.

Also, we are aware that snacks are being brought to campus for parties. It is very important to keep in mind we have students with allergies. Please keep in mind that all items brought in need to be store bought, in the original packaging and with allergies taken into account. Please check with your Patriots teacher to see if there is a concern. Thank you in advance for keeping our Patriots safe as always.

Summer School dates

Onslow County Schools will be offering a short summer school option for those students who score a Level 2 on their EOG's (Math for grades 3-5 and Reading for grades 4-5). Information will be sent home to those students on Tuesday, June 6th. The dates of the summer camp are June 12th -June 21st. Remediation will take place on campus here at STES for the last few days of school if you opt to register for summer school. Our Patriots will have summer school and their retesting opportunity at Richlands Elementary School. Registration will open on the evening of the 6th. Please keep an eye out for the paperwork.

Summer Reading Camp dates

We wanted to share the dates of the Summer Reading Camp that is held through Onslow County Schools for 1st-3rd grade students. The dates are July 10th-August 3rd (Monday through Thursday only). Stateside is one of the sites. There are 7 other locations as well.

Paperwork was sent home for our 1st and 2nd graders this past week. 3rd grade students will receive theirs after the EOG scores are finalized. It is a first come, first serve camp. Spots fill up fast so keep an eye out for the paperwork.

Are you moving away from Stateside over the summer?

a note from our data manager...

Those students that will be moving over the summer will need to take a copy of their report card to their new school showing proof of grades. will sign a records request and they will send to back to Stateside for me (Mrs. S Whaley) to send them your Patriot's records. I am sure the other school will require shot records, proof of address, birth certificate, etc, but that will be your responsibility. The copies we have in the cumulative folders will not be the originals that are a requirement in most schools. If you have a student that has a confidential folder, there will be a signed records request that I (Mrs. S Whaley) will send to the County Office to send to your new school. I appreciate your help with this. We are sad to see you go, but we will help you make your transition as smooth as possible.
