A Message from the Library
Summer is the perfect time to keep reading. While the school library is closed, you can still find great eBooks online AND by visiting the Spartanburg County Public Library. Use this list of resources and websites to access eBooks and audio books for FREE!
Read 10 books, write them on our IES Summer Reading Challenge form, and turn it in when you come back to school for a prize!
Let Them Choose
Let your child choose what they want to read. If they cannot read the book they chose, read it with them!
Just Read
Enjoying reading and improving your child's literacy includes not only paper books, but eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, cookbooks, brochures, instructions guides and manuals, cereal boxes, store signs, maps, letters, blogs, emails, newsfeeds... the list is never-ending! Just encourage them to read!
Read Anywhere
Take books with you! If your child is in a transition (like waiting in line at a store), there will always be a book to read.
