Articles of Confederation
The Articles of Confederation were created by the Second Continental Congress. It helped create and control the army, a unified army for the states. The Articles had the ability to deal with foreign affairs.
The Articles of Confederation did not give the national government much power. The national government could not enforce laws. or tax people. They needed 9 out of 13 states to pass a law and all 13 to amend a law. There was no judicial or executive branch and it made cause states to suffer when taxing one another was implemented.
