Water Conservation
What can we do to conserve water?
1. Check faucets or pipes for leaks- a small drip from worn faucet can waste 20 gallons per day. Larger leaks can waste hundreds of gallons.
2. Install water saving shower heads and low flow faucet aerators- water saving shower heads can save a lot of water during showers and low flow faucet aerators an save 2.5 gallons of water per minute.
3. Don't leave the water running while brushing your teeth- leaving the water on while brushing your teeth can waste about 5 gallons of water.
4. Take shorter showers- a 4 minute shower uses 20-40 gallons of water.
5. Use dishwasher only for full loads- use them if you have a ton of dishes to clean, otherwise wash them by hand.
