We've enjoyed coding this week as part of The Hour of Code. This event runs in conjunction with Computer Science Education Week, which is December 8-14. The CAP students were among the 2 million students worldwide who spent some time learning the basics of coding.

Every student in CAP is signed up for a 20-hour online coding course. This is a self-paced course and they will be completing it over the course of this school year. They each have individual sign ons and it has been exciting seeing their progress. Check out below to see who is in the lead with completing the most levels and lines of code!

You can join in the fun at home by visiting The Hour of Code and Code.Org

Coding with Kindergarten

Everybody enjoyed working with the Kindergarteners! I was blown away with hour patient and kind all the 4th and 5th graders were.

Keep an eye out in the Cape Gazette to see more pictures from our visit with Mrs. Leach's class. Be sure to grab a copy we can share in the classroom if you find it.

There are MANY open slots for Volunteers in the New Year. Please consider helping!
