School, or stay home?
If your child has any of the following conditions, s/he should stay home.
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Fever over 100 degrees
- Eye infections with pus or mucus draining from the eye
- Rashes accompanied with fever
- With any of the above conditions, the student may not return to school until symptom-free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing or anti-diarrhea medication.
Cold season is upon us. If your child has a cold, assess whether s/he feels well enough to come to school and learn. A persistent cough or congestion can be exhausting to the ill child and affect the concentration of the other students.
Please send the nurse updated contact numbers if your work, home, or cell numbers have changed. Two local people who have agreed to be responsible for your child if you are unavailable should also be listed on your child’s health card.
Computer Lab
Dear Parents, I am sending a quick note asking if you might be willing to supply your children with their own head phones. I have pictures of the ones we have. Some children have a hard time getting them to fit their head so they can wear them for full benefit of hearing. I do spray them with Lysol to try and keep the children healthy, yet if they have their own, germs would not be spread as easily. I also have a Kindergarten class who supplied their own because the students wanted to use buds. Our computers accommodate even the headsets that are rather inexpensive. Thank you in advance for helping our children learn better. Please send them in a ziplock bag with the student’s name and Teacher’s name please.

All donated food will stay in our community and serve local families. We need your donations of dry goods, canned goods, and other non-perishable items. Our food drive runs from Monday, November 3rd through Thursday, November 13th. Student Council thanks you for your support.

Book Fair
A huge THANK YOU goes to all of you that visited our Scholastic Book Fair last week! We sold almost $8,000.00 worth of books in just 2 nights. As a result of those purchases, our school library earned $1,000.00 in cash and $1,990.20 in Scholastic Dollars. This money will be used to purchase more books for our students and library. Any profit from our online fair will be calculated when the online fair ends, which is November 3rd.
It’s still not too late to get books from our Book Fair!!!
Were you unable to attend our recent Scholastic Book Fair? Is there something you wish you would have gotten, but didn’t? Were we out of the item your child really wanted?
